Katrice Robinson-Detroit City Council, District 6
Katrice Robinson has a history of struggle and commitment to the community.  Her willingness to speak out and get involved in local block club meetings led to her nomination and election to President of Midwest Civic Council of Block Clubs.  As President, she advocates for nothing less than forward, positive progress, quality education, clean neighborhoods, and opportunities for development and employment throughout the community.

Katrice Robinson is an active member of Hartford Memorial Baptist Church and has been for the past 30 years.  She is a native of Detroit and a resident of District 6 for 21 years.  Katrice attended and graduated from Detroit Public Schools.  She received her Bachelor’s and Master of Arts Degree from Wayne State University.  Katrice is the eldest of three and the mother of one.

Ms. Robinson is a Certified Teacher from the State of Michigan, and has been with the Detroit Public Schools (DPS) for the past 18 years.  She is involved with local youth, neighborhood activities and also provides assistance to senior citizens.

Katrice Robinson is "Committed to the Community and Dedicated to Progress" as she continues to work hard for all citizens of the city of Detroit.  She is a lifetime member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP); Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Sunkist Mixed Bowling League and President of Midwest Civic Council of Block Clubs.  She also volunteers with Meals on Wheels.

Ms. Robinson's hobbies include riding her motorcycle and working in her garden.
